5 SIGNS HE'S INTO YOU ON THE FIRST DATE

Dating can be difficult and nerve-wracking, especially if you're trying to figure out whether the guy you met last night was flirting with you because he genuinely likes you or just being nice to get in your pants. Luckily, some telltale signs can help you decide if he's into you on the first date or interested enough to see you again. Here are five signs that may clue you in.

1) His Body Language Is Open and Relaxed

This is probably a no-brainer, but if your date is smiling and being open with his body language, chances are he's into you. Pay attention to whether he's leaning towards you when you speak and whether his posture is generally relaxed. If so, great! If not, maybe it's time to move on to someone else. It can be hard to tell if someone isn't interested in you or is just shy; however, if your date is fidgeting or has an awkward smile plastered across her face, it might be time for you both to call it a night.

2) He Asks Lots of Questions about You

After you've found something to talk about, he doesn't end your conversation by changing topics. If a guy asks more than two or three questions about you, he's interested in getting to know you better. Remember: A relationship takes time, so if a guy seems genuinely interested in hearing more about your life and experiences, there's a good chance he wants to spend even more time with you.

3) He Doesn't Text While Talking To You

If you're in a relationship, it's perfectly acceptable to have your phone on hand. But if you're hanging out with someone new, try to put it away; after all, you should be giving him or her your full attention. If he excuses himself and checks his phone while talking to you, it might not be as innocent as it seems.

4) He Makes Eye Contact

A man that is into you will maintain eye contact with you. If he quickly averts his eyes to look around or at his phone, it might signify that he's not interested. Focus on how often he makes eye contact throughout your date. A good rule of thumb is that if you can't think of why someone would want to make brief eye contact (like greeting someone else), they might not be into you. It's not necessarily about looking directly into each other's eyes for extended periods; making eye contact when talking and listening to what your date has to say is important.

5) During the End of Date Talk, He Asks For Another Chance

When a man asks for another date, it's usually pretty clear that he's into you. He doesn't have to go out of his way to tell you he wants a second date; he'll ask. But, even if he says something like I had a great time tonight, maybe we can do it again sometime? He enjoyed your company and would like to see you again.
